Would you cross The Solent in one of these?

You’re probably familiar with the children’s nursery rhyme about the owl and the pussycat going to sea in a beautiful pea-green boat, but, can you imagine going to see in a boat made out of a giant pumpkin?

Well that’s exactly what Dmitri Galitzine did a few years ago, and today we received the official video.

Dimitri had the award winning giant pumpkin delivered here to Trafalgar Wharf & The Drystack and we helped him turn it into a sea-going vessel, complete with a couple of outboard motors.

Watch one man and his rather large vegetable boat crossing The Solent.
