Last year, Jonny’s wife Louise was diagnosed with DCIS. This is an early form of breast cancer, and sadly Louise had to have a mastectomy, but fortunately this was 100% successful and she didn’t need any further treatment.
I’m pretty sure that we all know someone who has been diagnosed with cancer, and unfortunately many of us know people who have passed away from it too.
Like many women, Louise has decided to stand up to cancer and not let it beat her, so she is raising money to support Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
Now, you may have heard of HellRunner (Down South), it takes place at Longmoor Military Training Camp near Borden, and is not for the faint hearted! To quote the website, it’s ‘trail running at its toughest and most enjoyable’! I’m not too sure about the word ‘enjoyable’! It’s 10 to 12 miles of very challenging off-road running, through tough, twisting trails including the famed Hills of Hell and the Bog of Doom!
Louise has set her target at £3,500 and as of today has raised £2,515, this is 71% of her target.
I’m writing to ask you to please sponsor her and help her breakthrough for breast cancer.
It’s so easy to donate, just go to her JustGiving page and press the pink donate button (you can’t miss it). www.justgiving.com/luluboys
She puts updates on there about her training so you can see how she is getting on.
Thank you very much
PS. Did you know that 1 in 8 women in the UK will develop breast cancer at some point in their lifetime and around 400 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in the UK.
With your help, people like Louise, her mum, and the thousands of other people affected by breast cancer can hopefully one day say ‘We Beat Cancer’. www.justgiving.com/luluboys
