Here at Trafalgar Wharf we have become accustomed to boats of all shapes and sizes but this one was a little more special. The Steam Pinnace 199 came to us for an annual haul-out and maintenance program and we were only too glad to help them.
The Steam Pinnace 199 was built in Cowes 100 years ago as a capital ship for the Royal Navy, since then it has had a somewhat varied history but has fallen into the hands of ‘The Society of Friends of the Royal Naval Museum’ who see the boat is kept in pristine condition.
‘Please extend our thanks to Tony and his team for their usual excellent job.’
Ivan Steele (Society of Friends of the Royal Naval Museum)
We would like to thank the team of volunteers for their kind words and we look forward to seeing the boat again should it need any future services.
