About Haslar Marina, Gosport
Built in 1993, Haslar Marina is tucked away just inside the southwest corner of Portsmouth Harbour.
The marina is perfectly located for Solent sailing, providing a safe and sheltered location which is freely accessible at all states of tide, as well as the opportunity to visit the historic dockyard and enjoying outlet shopping. Adding panoramic beaches, an impressive naval heritage, plenty of watersports and historic trails means there is a lot to keep the family entertained.
There are two fabulous restaurants at the marina, The Lightship and The Creek;
The Lightship is a unique destination dining and drinks experience aboard a lovingly restored 1940s lightship. Formerly the Mary Mouse 2, she was a guiding light to ships travelling off the coast of Portsmouth; a true beacon of the Hampshire coastline. This magnificent vessel has now been reimagined for a modern day audience, welcoming visitors from the land and sea to soak up the vibrant atmosphere and enjoy unparalleled views of the Solent from her home in Haslar Marina.
The Creek is the perfect spot to unwind, whatever the occasion and has been created as the perfect waterside venue with freshly prepared good food, great drinks and a friendly team.
We’ll be leaving the Crate Cafe at around 4pm and heading out into the channel for a cruise down to Portsmouth harbour. After spending some time checking out the submarine location and other destination spots, we’ll berth up and spend the next few hours on the top deck of The Lightship enjoying cold sharing platters whilst taking in the spectacular views of the harbour and the marina. The Lightship venue is weather dependent, however if we’re unlucky, we can enjoy food and drinks at The Creek instead, but fingers crossed for nice weather. We’ll be looking to arrive back on the pontoons for approximately 7pm.
Boat Share
You may want to share your boat with other members, which is a great way to meet new people and make new friends, but also you can split the cost
of the fuel and the mooring fees when there are pontoon charges. All you need to do is indicate on the booking app ‘happy to share’ and we’ll arrange
this for you.
Please state on the booking form you wish to join the Seaview Solent Discovery Guided Trip
