About Hythe
As we travel up Southampton Water you’ll pass Calshot Spit, with a historic Tudor Castle and the original Flying Boat Hangers, many of which are now used by Calshot Activities Centre.
Hythe is located on the southern side of Southampton Water and the New Forest. It has the oldest pier train that rumbles up and down the historic wooden pier to the Ferry over to Southampton.
The village of Hythe is a short walk from the modern Hythe Marina village along the board walk, where we will moor up. It is a historic seaside resort, with a fascinating history and great pubs and restaurants.
Boat Share
You may want to share your boat with other members, which is a great way to meet new people and make new friends, but also you can split the cost
of the fuel and the mooring fees when there are pontoon charges. All you need to do is indicate on the booking app ‘happy to share’ and we’ll arrange
this for you.
Please state on the booking form you wish to join the Hythe Solent Discovery Guided Trip
If you are happy to boat share and split the fuel costs please indicate this on the booking form/app
