Right, first things first. If you are popping down to The Drystack this weekend then bring some change with you as our ice cream bike will be out on the grassed area full of yummy ice creams and ice lollies. to keep you cool.
Secondly, we’ll post you a bar of delicious Lindt Chocolate if you find the 2 photo bombed photos on our websites. There is one on the Trafalgar Wharf site and one on The Drystack site. Once you have found them email me and let me know where they are (or send me a screen shot) and I will send you some chocolate in the post. Easy peesy.

Have a read below and book yourself onto one to make the most of your summer boating, keeping you, your family and friends, and other boat users safe.
RYA Intermediate Powerboat Course (1 day course) – £309
Course date: Thursday 9th & Friday 10th June
This course covers the practical use of pilotage and passage planning by day on coastal waters, building on the foundation knowledge of the Level 2 Powerboat Handling course. During the two days you will cover cruising at planing speed and more advanced boat handling to improve your skills and gain more confidence and knowledge to embark on those longer distance journeys safely and confidently.
RYA VHF Radio Course (1 day course) – £100
Course dates: Saturday 2nd July
The Short Range Certificate is the minimum legal qualification required to operate a VHF radio, including both fixed and hand held equipment, using international channels. A radio is a very important piece of safety equipment on board and it is vital to understand the correct procedures, unnecessary transmissions could block out a Mayday Distress call. The course will be taught and examined using radio simulators. The exam will also include a short written test. It is against the law to use a VHF radio on board your boat without a license. Keep yourself and others safe by booking this course.
RYA Powerboat Level 2 Course (2 day course) – £279
Course dates: Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th June. Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th July. Friday 26th and Saturday 27th August. Sunday 28th August and Monday 29th August
This two-day course provides the skills and background knowledge needed to drive a powerboat and is the basis of the International Certificate of Competence. It focuses on low speed close quarters handling, man overboard recovery, an introduction to driving at planing speed and collision regulations. Keep you and your family safe whilst out boating by building your knowledge and improving your confidence on the water by booking onto this course. Also, with this certificate you will be able to hire boats abroad when on holiday.
