We thought it would be nice for you to learn a bit more about our new Manager of Boat Club Trafalgar, so let him introduce himself!
My name is Steve Rodwell, and I am the manager here at Boat Club Trafalgar. I was born and raised in Kenya, East Africa, and I recently emigrated over to the UK in 2016 with my family. I started boating at an early age, spending most of my free time exploring creeks, fishing, spearfishing, diving and water skiing with family and friends. I have travelled extensively throughout East Africa & Southern Africa, my journeys taking me to South Sudan, Uganda, Tanzania, Zanzibar, Rwanda, East Congo, Malawi, Mozambique and South Africa amongst others.
I have climbed the two highest mountains in Africa – Mt Kilimanjaro and Mt Kenya, cage dived with great white sharks in South Africa, white water rafted down the Zambesi River, hot air ballooned over the Masai Mara game reserve and I have seen the gorillas in Uganda.
I like to travel with my family visiting places of interest, and I enjoy kitesurfing, diving, camping & watching a good game of rugby!
I have 17 years experience working in the marine industry, and I am very happy and excited to have joined the Boat Club Trafalgar team. I am looking forward to seeing all our happy members using the boats down at Boat Club Trafalgar soon!
Come down and visit us at Trafalgar Wharf to meet Steve!
